My career has been marked by significant achievements, including my leadership in a project that brought about the successful implementation of the statutory requirements of the Modern Slavery Act within one of the largest London local authorities.

• overseeing the implementation of the National Referral Mechanism (NRM), a vital framework for identifying and supporting potential victims of human trafficking and modern slavery. 

• developing training programmes, guidelines, and resources that empower staff to spot the signs of human trafficking and utilise the NRM effectively, making it an integral part of their daily work in safeguarding vulnerable individuals.

• supply chain compliance through close scrutiny of procurement and vendor management processes and ensuring the completion of the annual supply chain statement.

• initiating awareness campaigns and training events to educate staff about indicators of modern slavery as well as the importance of the NRM.

• comprehensive understanding of financial mechanisms designed to combat and prevent modern slavery within the banking sector. My expertise encompasses the strategic utilisation of financial instruments and controls to identify, track, and mitigate instances of modern slavery in supply chains and corporate operations.
